Glad to see Fish / Water Plant Fans here. Been having this hobby since 2000 or so.
Used to have THREE tanks; 48" (replacing 42"), 24" and a 16". Really regret I deleted all the photos of the 48" tank ... the best settings I ever have.
Would like to share some of my photos taken with the 42" tank. Hope you guys like it.
I still got a lot of plant / tank gears. Anyone interested? I would like to sell them off if the price is right.
Same tank but at a different period of time. This should be my THIRD and last setting of this tank. After this, I gave away the tank to my colleague and get a new 48".
The 鹿角苔 on the LEFT bottom is getting out of control by this time. They grow so thick that I have to "harvest" them once every two weeks and give them away to my friends.
The 矮珍珠 has just been "reset" at the Bottom Right. They grow back in about 2 months and covered up the whole Center to Right corner.
This one showing the 矮珍珠 at the right hand bottom. As they are not really "climbing" onto the substrate, that is why I remove them all and replant in the previous photo.
At the center to the left, you can see the Triangular Fern.
How stupid of me not keeping the photos of my 48" tank. That was the best tank I ever kept.
Poor me ... I joined this Forum just around TWO weeks ago .... already addicted to Modifiying Hi Fi ....
Now, I realise that there are even Fish and Water Plants Fans .... 點算? I JUST gave my tanks up ... ar ..... I want my fish tanks back .... but no time and No $$$ to maintain them ... HELP
I have something that can "polish" your water in less than 5 hours. Your water will become clear as crystal (if that filter is still working fine). It is not chemical, just a VERY FINE filter that can filter out all particles inside the water. Do you want to try try ... If so, I will have to dig it up for you.
My personal opinion ... it is better to have the plants settled before putting in the fishes. The plants take around 2 weeks to settle. It is okay if you put one or two fish in .... but not too many. The plants are pretty weak at the early stage.
Second opinion. You can use ADA sticks (Iron, Multi Minerals, etc) and insert them into the soil. They used to be around $ 180 / bottle but they last for more than six months. Quite worth a trial.
Third --- use the appropriate fertiliers. ADA fertilizers are good but not the best in my point of view. Use "Tropica" ones. Check out www.tropica.com
They got lots of stuffs to offer. If you want a sample, I can give it to you. I still got lots of them left.
It is not easy to chat over everything here. If you want more information, leave me a message at achan@sjc.edu.hk with your contact. It is easier to talk over the phone.
As you mentioned .. I realised that I like to eat Fish & Sea Food very much.
If a cat is 25lbs, it is OVER-Weight for sure. No breed of cat can weight 25 lbs. 20lbs is almost a maximum. No wonder it is sleeping all the time. If I weigh 300lbs, I don't want to move too ....
