[quote:c352b80c4a="sugargar"]As I used all high-end components, class fee + self buy components total less than $8k, a bit over my origional budget actually.
I think it is still worth to invest because this DAC still have room for later upgrade and improvement, I can tune the sound by changing components. The real factory 1955pro DAC is selling like $30k, if I only use $8k to make a DAC which can achieve 85%+ performance of the factory DAC, still worth to do so.
I'm still thinking is it worth to add a "Tent" XO clock module ($6xx) in my Cambridge 640C CD player because I don't want to change CD player as 640C clock frequency is 16.9MHz whcih cannot support the I2S reclock from the DAC which required 11.2MHz clock in CD player. I've listened the comparison of using DAC I2S reclock and no I2S, sound really more pure and natural. Adding the "Tent" XO clock can have significant improvement which like or close to using I2S reclock? Anyone can give some suggestion about this?

Sugargar,
Add a clock certain can improve the sound. But using a cambridge 640CD may not be a good transport by itself. Any interest to meet my heavy modified DAC 60 given the total cost for both machine are very close....
