As my 640C player not on the support list, you mean I need to mod my CD player? and install the USB device which you've shown us yesterday into the 1955 DAC? to achieve" 用S/PDIF来连接 >>  转盘与解码器的时钟就要一致，这样才能同步"?

If the answer is yes, that means I need to attaned the CDP mod class later or I better build a HTPC to achieve "转盘与解码器的时钟就要一致"?

如果使用I2S连接，那么转盘与解码器的时钟就要一致，这样才能同步.
由于AD1955不支持192fs、384fs等时钟，因此CDPro2与DAC1955PRO不能使用I2S连接，只能使用S/PDIF来连接了。

only support 256fs, 512fs, 768fs

192fs = 192x44100 = 8,467,200

256fs = 256 x 44100 = 11,289,600

384fs = 384 x 44100 = 16,934,000

512fs = 512 x 44100 = 22,579,200

768fs = 768 x 44100 = 33,868,800

You can trust the USB CODEC as a speaker.

The player is the PC, you need to install the SW which can playback the APE file.

All of the sound information will be pass through to USB codec.

When you plug the USB CODEC into the PC, your sound device (sound card / onboard sound) will be disable.

The USB codec will transform the USB audio steam into IIS signal.

I've listened to Meridian G08.2 in Central Hifi Galaxy. The New 8.2 has stunning details while maintains suitable bodyline texture of instrunments. Bass and high frequency extremes are widely extended. I think I have to try hard on the DAC1955/CDPRO2 combo to beat this newly release machine on both musicality and fidelity.

Yes, you can do the TDA1547, 1541 at home sure.

For drilling the alum case, you can mark the basic hole and do it at HF when you take the KIT.

All of the 3 kinds of DAC have different character.

If I were you, making 3 of all la.

You may say I earn too much.............. NO.

You can join the most difficult / complex of AD1955 first.

After that, you can easy to make 1547 and 1541 at your home.

We can offer KIT to you. (special price only for AD1955 classmate)

Sure, you need to drill some holes (not more than 10) in HF before you take the KIT to home.

So I would consider two chassis solution. Not too bad anyway.

One chassics include Loader and DAC :

Only 1 solution :

CDM9 / CD-Pro 2 + DAC 7 (TDA1547 DAC)

AD1955 impossible.

TDA1541A, it can, but space is limit. Need to review again.

I just bank in deposit for the DAC course. I also would like to reserve the DAC1955PRO for integrating with the CDPRO2M which I enrolled earlier. So that my CD player has a concrete architect to start with.

I think AD1955 in balance architecture is the most appropriate platform for me. Closed to my current Meridian G08 CDP. Detail system architecture (like I2S clock derived from DAC and feed into CDPROs) will discuss with you later. This makes my project exciting.
