For capacitor when you put parallel, the total capacitance is the sum of both.

10.1uF&10uF is not much differences, is is only~1%.

Some people say, even add 0.022uF parallel also can hear the differences/improvement...

the best way of course is u try this 2 cap in your speaker & listen yourself to decide which combination suit u....

unluckily i stay in M'sia not HK, if not u can buy the 0.1uF wima black box try it, if not suit then sell to me....

by the way, it will be easier next time u just post reply without key in the title then all our reply will be in the same post....easier for people to see the whole story also...

By the way twist your wire connected to the drive also can improve the detail....easy & without any cost.

do u take photo after u do the modifiaction? if yes pls post it, easier for us to have  a look!
When the speaker on, the woofer's sound wave will cause the whole speaker cabinet to vibrate as well, thus if your coil is not at a fix position it definitely will vibrate. since not photo i can't see your exact situation now. But generall you can fix/hold the position of the coil by using some plaster glue (normally blue or green colour) which people normally use to place something on the wall or the silicon (use for fix aquarium).

if got sparkling sound better check your soldering or connection whether it had tough/short circuit, since your coil is hanging, becareful when it vibrate and touch other component...(if some of ur component very near n loss, when speaker on at loud, vibration increase it me tough then u may heard spark when it touch.... make sure all the connection n soldering is tight....

u place the 0.1 wima at both cap or only the cap for the high frequency?

If u feel that parallel wima black box 0.1uF too sharp...u might try to parallel with 0.022uF VISHAY ROE MKP 1845, i parrell it with solen mkp-fc in my cdp, good match detail increase and sound won't be too sharp.... i think 0.022uF mkp1845 is ~hk10.

the way u place your speaker a bit weird, is the sound balance? since 1 at stand another at the table.....

May i know whether u had try bypass the small cap at the reservoir power supply cap?

i heard using 0.47uf Blackgate NX Hi-Q on reservoir (e.g 10000uF) is useful, what do you think? do u think by pass a polypropene cap like ROE MKP 1845 on the reservoir will be better than blackgate NX hiQ as BG is the e-cap.

by the way do u think the by pass should be done only for tweeter or also for mid/woofer?
