beacuse finally i used black gate non polar e-cap. so the photo which shown before are use black gate normal garde.(balck colour).

What are the 3 Green + 1 Brown CAPs LEFT parallel to the Tubes. I think you suggested us to replace the original as the originals are not for Audio Use. Is that correct?

I also upgraded the OPAMPS caps to Elna Cerafine e-caps.
the best is black gate e-cap but elna is cheaper than black gate,
the sound is 80% close to black gate, so it is very good e-caps in my view.

three green colour e-caps are Nichicon Muse e-caps old stock brand new.
I buy it in http://www.soundexplorer.com/home/home.htm
The brown caps is Elna A3 e-cap for audio.
Those e-caps around HK$25 each.
The rating is same as the original rubyon e-caps.
I have use panasonic FC grade e-caps. not good result.

2. Right next to the RCA plugs, you have ONE SILVER colour cap. That is the 0.33uf/630v. That is also a Jensen copper  Foil Oil Cap.

3. These are the same ratings of the original e-cap.

4. I suggest 0.1uf  to put on the OPAMP PCB.

your cd-33 can work as transport with external DAC.

i have upgraded all diodes to philips PBYR 1060 and philips BYV96E.

sound become more clear and detail very much. anyway is very great for all ranges.
if close the eye to listen, its sound like HI End cdp.

My cat also stand in front of the speaker to listen the sound, he is very enjoy.

i am waiting your call to collect the sony 213Q CD Head with diver.

i am leak of money now, so I must earn money first.
the brand new cdt-15a is around HK$4,300.
its sound is better than cd88 if  no modification.
i suggect you to buy one in 2nd hand market, because no china's cdp
like it now.

I agree with windwss said that :
Since u said u had change a new board, in case they put in wrong resistor at teh cathode side then it will change the cathode voltage....


try to take the reading of the said resistors for both tubes.
you can see the reading of the resistors which marked on the pcb.

I finished the modification of my Cayin cdt-15a
1. re-moved the power filter.
2. add clock for transport.
3. changed IC to opa627bp.
4. changed wires of output to cardas.
5. replace some caps on tube pcb.

its sound is greater than my MHZS cd33 heary modification.

If the cd33 have many problem I suggest to changed it to cayin cdt-15a, it will be let you have amazing sound after modification.

normally remote not easy out of service.
if very thing is fine, you may order a new once, alfcat may help you, because he know the shop for mhzs cdp in china.

I had replace  the filter at power supply of my cayin cdt-15a which is follow this web site

I  removed the power supply filter.
add power supply for two re-clocks.
changed output caps and iv op amp from BB2604 to BB627bp

now the sound is very great.

I also used Monitor Audio old speaker (model 14 stand speaker) and replace
the e-cap to Rifa box film cap, which provide very clear sound.
the Rifa box cap is enclosed, i buy in 2 hand market around HK$20 each.
the reference photo is enclosed for easy reference.

Mundoft cap is popular in hk diy field.
normal only can buy high grade of it so very expenise.

YOU CAN TRY CHANGED OP AMP TO BIG S 5534 SINGAL AMP WITH ADAPTER.
I USED 5534 IN MY CD-33 NOW AND FEEL THAT SOUND IS BETTER THAN OP AMP 627 AM.
JUST HK$15 FOR BIG S 5534
ADAPTER JUST $20.

IF THE SOUND REACH YOUR CUP OF TEA. NO NEED TO CHANGED OTHERS.
IF YOU WANT TO BIG MODIFICATION, YOU CAN FOLLOW THE ABOVE TO MODIFITY.
