there are still alot of exotic diving places that i'hvn't been to such as red sea, truk, manado... but the best that i luv is tubbataha(tremendous amount of big actions, saw tiger shark and sharks attacking and biting each other), my worst xperence was in great barrier reef(raining at the first day, very rough and choppy sea, then sunny when we off board :x ).
anyway, hows sipadan now in terms of diving, i was there b4 the island close, every year i went there since 94' the condition is getting worse and worse......
since i'm a father of two so i can't go diving that often now, maybe once a year to philippines, bolhol :cry: i miss those big actions...... :cry:  :cry:

so when is your next diving trip, let me know see if i can go!

Hi Kongs,

I went to Sipadan since 1997, the enviorment is worse year by year.
In this time we visit Sipadan, the Jack and Barracuda are less (we have visit Barracuda Pt. for three times on this trip). The water is not clear, visibility only around 10m to 15m. South Pt. is better, around 30m.

We may visit PG on around middle of Oct07, and we may have whale shark seeing on middle of Jan08

yes, puerto galera on mid of Oct, whale shark at Philipine(with full gear, not snorkelling!).

seems very interesting, never seen a whale shark b4, so how many days for this "whale shark" diving trip, i'v been to pg, it took me almost one day to get there, which resort are u planning to stay? i'll try my best to get some days free for this.

      my diving equippment is a very old set in "grand ma style"
1  an inxpensive but fits well scuba pro mask
2  a 15 years old u.s divers complete set with 1 & 2 stage
3  forgot the brand of the pressure gauge
4  an 11 years old worn out us divers bcd which cannot be inflated
5  some sort of japanese fins
6  a newly made never been used 5mm dive suit(made b4 the tsunami)
7  casio dive watch with my favourite functions depth and temp gauge
8  an ikelite underwater lights
9  finally a ten years old alladin computer
      for video taping fun, i'm using an old model
1  sony dv10
2  a japanese brand "div" plastic housing

thats about it, i know my set of equippment is very old but they still can do the job. btw, what is the average price of a new bcd now, hvn't been to those dive shop for a long time and my us divers 1 & 2 stage has to be serviced b4 the coming dive trip.   ops:  ops:

PS audio Delta 200 and UCD400 (diy at hifi fever) power amp,
Focus Audio-F78 and ATC-scm7 speaker.

For the BCD, you can find around HK$1600 - HK$1800 for old style one if you lucky.

i have been to Sipadan, Batangas (anliao), Putero Gulero, long before married and born of my kid. well, investing money in the Stereo system. Still longing to dive abroad. all my friends got married and seldom dive anymore...really hope to go to dive again.....i still remember the big turtles in sipadan and swirl of baracuda..

氮醉好危險, 仲記得我初考到open water 只有幾個月後去 guam , 個 dive master 帶我地去個 dive site 叫 blue hole, 心情興奮馬上gear up 可以試下隻新買既阿拉丁電腦, 就係咁潛下深D潛下再潛D, 跟住覺得好似唔多夠深喎, 睇下電腦, 立即 :shock: 175呎, 即刻signal個buddy, up, up....., 後來慢慢到50呎先回復正常,  #-o , 上水後個 dive master say sorry 話 今日係我第一次做 dive master ,  :shock:

i hv a very similar situation like you, many dive trips b4 the born of my baby, miss diving so much............ :cry: i'm dying for a 7d/6n live aboard 5 dives/day trip......recalling my memories for those early morning 6:30 dives in sipadan, just to spot that big school of huge size bumpheads

really strong. I did 5 dives a day in Sipadan...sigh, those were the days. diving gear still at home, getting rusty... poor me...perhaps, when my baby grows older....

詩巴丹係新仔最好熟習潛水同取經驗既地方, 而我最多都係每天6潛 ops: 地獄式軍訓

I have a baby girl who is now 2 years old. need much attention. and preparing to go to school...busy like hell.........the diving is rusty....really hope to go to Hoi Ha to watch sharks...

Our PG trip will be departed on 14th Oct with 5D4N or 7D6N. We shall go to Verde Island at PG, a famous washing machine with beautiful coral.

General conclusion is that when man getting married, got child....then can't go dive frequently : (

The polution & global warming is getting worse.... that's why a lot place raining & flood abnormally...

very soon the underwater nice scenery may disappear....
