I share the same view as Sam-Sam.   KK sir is very helpful in solving our problems.   Because I need to leave earlier, he even  helps me to complete some soldering works.  thank KK sir.

Special thanks to KK for guiding and helping me to finish my CDM9.  Just can't imagine a super DIY beginner like me can construct a CD transport by myself as this is my first usable electronic toy after I resumed back to use soldering iron 20+ years before.  Also thank you to 叔叔 for guiding me on the 金工 stuffs.

Frankly speaking, while already knew this workshop is not a simple plug and play one, it has more 金工 works than I expected.  However, this can also help me to rethink how to utilize alternate cases which we sometimes can't find a perfectly fit cases for our systems.

Hi KK, I'd started to test the new toy for a while.  Just have a few questions as below:

1) After I changed the default clock to the external clock, I feel the bass is a little bit more solid and the sound seems a little bit more focus.  Is this the way the re-clock should work?  Or the difference should be more prominent?

2) For the first few tracks, the high turning speed make a quite audible high frequency noise together with the normal motor noise.  This high frequency noise gradually faded out after track 4-5.  Is this my CDM9's problem rather than a common issue and how should I fix it?

Hi Leon,

Yes, the motor noise is quite audible when my CDM9 was played with the top cover opened (I am using the big case).  It was better when the cover was closed.  If you are using the small case, perhaps you have to make a cover for it.

I totally agree that KK Sir is very helpful. KK was even willing to help on my VT60SE while that day was allocated for other course. Really enjoy the DIY process with KK Sir guidance.

DIY is really creative by seeing so many different ways in assembling the CDM9 in the big case. Very nice work with copper base and support.

Even though I have not finished my CDM Pro 9 yet ( I am the last one to order the large case so I have to wait..) , I am really amazed on the technical creativity of fitting a transport into a case, though a lot of metal work but I think I learn a lot from the course. Thanks for KK 's devotion to the course and toleration for our beginner 's fault.

得到KK Sir的特別安排下，終於能完成左部機。在這還是要特別多謝KK Sir在當晚抱病還幫忙我呢個新手攪好部機。真是萬分感激！多謝你，KK Sir。
今日聽左6個鐘左右，開始時聲有D硬，聽左個零鐘後休息左一陣，(沒有關機)食完野再聽，之前D生硬都明顯少左。整體表現明顯高左。但唯一還爭些少就係比較我自已聽開部機時部M9未夠清，(個人口味)相信去Ext Clock 條線和另外兩組換左銀線之後應該都會三級跳。
一於聽KK Sir 講，煲番兩佰個鐘後等KK Sir 部 Pro 2比較一下。
再次多謝KK Sir 呢幾次身體唔舒服都幫手完成左部機。亦多謝hififever各位大大做出呢D咁高水平Course！

I am interested in it very much....

First of all I want to thank you KK sir for his help. He came to the class even he got flu, and on the last day he stay over 1:00 AM(that was the time go home) to help us finish it and I think he stayed much longer because still some classmate haven't finished...from this, I think not many other DIY club can provide this kind of services with such great attitute!!

My CDM9 is still warming up, at first the sound feel a bit sharp and harsh (maybe because my caps) but the other day when I play the same CD it already sound much better, completely beat my grandpa cd player... a lot more detail but warm (who said old model cd transport cannot beat new cd transport model? in hifi world I believe new technology is not absolutly equal to better sound), the sound stage and image is more noticibly accurate.

Still, I am waiting for the up-sampling part to come out!! very look forward to it!

Can you describe more clearly before I draw the comment.

That means when its play the cd with totally 13 songs, its just show & max can play up to track 9, can't play anymore from track 10....change another cd with 11 tracks & its the same!
I've try to switch on & off few times but its display 9 songs in total & it also stop after finished playing track 9.
Don't hv the camera right now, m/b take some photos later.

2. your sensor may be out of order.

Check 3 pin wire first.
