New tech. and new chips leading you to change all parts.....main concern the surround effect/video image quality more than the style...may be listen to another sharing...

我見AMP後面有好多野,我都唔知係乜

AV SETTING 要點學

Oiav, AMP is not too complicated, it is just getting signals from different sources (e.g. DVD, CD etc) and output to speaker.

There are many sockets at the back of AV amp since it accept many input sources and output to 6 or 8 speakers at the same time. You can just follow the menu and it can be connected easily.

For beginner, you may select some entry level amplifier and speaker, when you understand what you need then you can upgrade them one by one...

基本果D三色線,色差, 5.1 , 等等我都大概ok
而家用緊普通 DVD機色差------> TV ,   speaker 係果D可以比電腦或DVD機用果D  5.1
但同軸數線 , 方芯銅 cable ,........ 唔知係乜

Video to amp so that you can select video / audio source from amp and do not need to change channel on TV

Surround back is for 7.1 setup, 2 more speakers at the back of the viewer

RS232 is for PC connection, if you know the the details of the programming, you may control the AMP using PC

+/- is to connect to speakers (1 pair for 1 speaker)

Antenna for FM/AM (radio)

zone 2 speaker is to have another pair of speaker in another room, so you can use 12V Trigger out zone 2 to trigger whether zone 2 speaker should be on (not for normal use unless you renovate the home)

IR is to accept IR singal input (e.g. you have a home automation device and it will connect to multiple devices so you can use the home automation device to control all appliances) - also not for normal user

Video to amp so that you can select video / audio source from amp and do not need to change channel on TV

There should be not much difference, the amp only do switching of sources.

then  1080p 畫面好過係米好過 1080i ?

currently there is NO HDTV can be provided by TVB/ ATV, some HiFi shop demo's HDTV is come from CCTV, u need to install antena/ tuner ...etc. From newspaper there is ~HK$ 2xK for those equipment.


In coming ~Y2007, TVB/ ATV will provide Digital TV service, which capable to support HDTV content, but broadcast standard/ format is NOT confirmed yet
