Why does NAS transfer so slowly ?

Yesterday, I transfered the music data (WAV format)  from an external  harddisk (USB connect to Computer) to NAS, it was too slow to be accepted. transfer rate was only 10.4MB/s and it spent more than one hour! Any C hing can tell me why it is so slowly? Therey is any way that is faster?

    There are two ways of transferring files.
Either you can use the native browsing function from the NAS provider or you look at your media library as part of the your system

For me the transfer rate using first method is 7MB/s and using the 2nd method it becomes 30MB/s
