Can MC cartridge be fitted in vintage turntable?? Urgent!!

ANyone knows?  I have seen some turntables such as Pioneer PL-12D and Thorens TD-160 in Ebay.  But I doubt MC cartridge can be fitted in it.  Please someone helps.  Real Urgent.  Many thanks.

I had asked someone.  They said all depended on which arm is using.  Is it true?  If it is, how do I  know this arm can be fitted to MC cartridge?  many thanks.
