     that why i call the WE396A, warm n sweet, if it match with silver component, like Mundorf Silver/Oil n black gate(fast cap), it will be fast too. it very depand on initial setup, once find the best tube, stick to the one, from there only Mod until suit to individual taste.

after MOD opa627, i switch on the cdp, n put in the the 1st song, sound no change(same) , after that i change to 2nd CD(ROUND UP) wau!!!!! something different, the riding horse part from left to right is was so CLEAR! (but it still NOT up to my expectation, so i let the player run for 3 hour. n play the CHAI CHEN song, OH MY GOD, it totally different,  the vocal n instrument was so real! . viewer you are right! it really REAL now(last time is CLEAR). will let it run for long to see any improvement n share again. thanks viewer!           

i still prefer the WE396A even i have use WINDWSS's BENDIX tube, it actually slightly better than WE, but i want VOCAL, for vocal BENDIX cant get close to WE, bcoz the vocal is outside of the speaker if using WE.

Pls HELP! my CDP after install the opa627 for second day, i notice got soft NOISE, the 3rd day the sound increase! the sound something like a playing the LP sound.(when the LP tape is dirty)
is it because of OPA627? or the tube? or maybe len dirty?

today try to measure the voltage of the opa, WAU!!!!!!!  :shock:  :shock: 29.25V  :shock:  :shock: , it actually over VOLTAGE!!!!!!, i measure the PIN 4(-)   PIN8(+) i got the above reading! is my measure correct?

Can i reduce the votage to the opamp by changing some resistor?

the voltage is 15V but the voltage will slowly drop unlimited........? is this correct?

the ground is it at the same board, bcoz the board got the ground, n i try out is about 19V at initial, than will keep on dropping until no voltage..... :?  :? why ah?
or i have to measure at  the earth ground with pin 4 n pin7?

Thanks alot, you have point out the main point, the OPAMP GND, bcoz i didn't connect it to ground at all, so the voltage not stable, after i connect the ground cable, n measure the voltage it 15.5V very stable, i should put the ground cable at the first day, but will try see got any improvement.

HAHAHA......, is my mistake, the GND from the OPAMP is important, the ground is connected to the BG cap NEG(-) shit! i shouldn't make this mistake, lucky the system not BLOW! :  :  :

ofcause putting a DAC is good, but price???, you are buying almost 2 CDP.
After buy the DAC can you said no improvement???? it also need to match with you CDP then you need to bring your CDP to match with all the DAC. Some more, more component, i assume sound will be slow(maybe).

So it all depand on you lah!!!!!  :  : in this world you cant have cheap with good sound, right? :wink:

Even i MOD my CDP using lot of $$$$, the improvement is only little, but it FUN.

P/S if you buy a $1000 CDP compare to $5000 CDP sure got different, but do you think the sound different ALOT? the only different maybe improve 20%, so.... you want to pay 5time more $$$ to buy? it mean in HIFI, you want to improve in sound you need to spent alot!!!!!

Welcome to CD33 MOD forum, is a good start to have test the tube, after that choose the RIGHT tube that you like most, only than start MOD :shock: . it will bring you couple of month of joy, fun n satifaction :wink: .so hope you like the sound of CD33, over here i still new, you can always bring up your problem, if i know will give you some advice......    

as you mention, will change all to BG E-cap, is actually the best cap in the market, for the film cap..... is still up to your taste, you can choose Jensen, Mundorf, Solen SCR, AudioNote, Hovland, n many many more.... just that we cant choose your taste, right? :wink:

HAHAHA....... As i told you that DAC no doubt is good, but if you need BETTER sound you still need to MOD it, but i can assure that the MOD cost will cost you a BOOM also, you dont belive, ask viewer :wink:

both CDP DAC n standalone DAC have their own sound, so if you think that you want to use standalone DAC, choose the BEST one, if not you still need to MOD, if not buy the Standalone DAC, just MOD the CDP DAC loh, still the need to MOD what. if you need YOUR sound, right. you cant use 2 DAC at the same time.

Just order the Panasonic FC cap, but only can get the 4700uf 16V, the 25V have to wait for 4days . but it o.k atleast got stock :wink: . plug only 2 cap at the power supply side, look like the bass is louder, i guest, have to run for few hour n see the changes. :wink:

Since so much problem to match with this n that, try to Mod the Power side first loh, more easy, no need to headache, that 1 wait until LAST to MOD loh, you still got so many thing to MOD, the biggest effect after MOD is POWER SUPPLY for the TUBE, especially the 100uF100V, 47uf 160V n the solen cap 1uf, i suggest GET THE BEST ONE, like AUDIONOTE, MUNDORF Silver/Gold, JENSEN Silver, REL-CAP or Cardas Cap for the 1uf value. the rest of the E-cap use the BG N series, will give you SURPRISE! :shock:  :shock:  :shock: (especially on SOUND n also PRICE)hehehe... :  :  : .
