由加拿大來的 Forest Cap

我們在這次後級組裝班試用了新鮮由加拿大運到的Forest Cap

因Forest Cap只有1uF 或以下支援600V, 我們在VT60SE, 300B 換了以下數值

300B: 0.33F Aluminmum film & foil * 2 (交連用)
VT60SE: 1uF Aluminmum film & foil * 4
0.47uF  Aluminmum film & foil * 1

結果是用了Forest Cap 聲音比一般MKP Cap較滑, VT60SE力度足之外更耐聽
300B用了後聲音再甜一點. 再煲多一些時間可能會更好

單看外觀, 已知Forest Cap很有份量. 1uF 已經有64mm長X20mm直徑, 而且很重手, 相信用料十足.  我們下一步便會用在前級上, 看看效果怎樣

Can I have the name and address of the company in Canada selling the Forest Audiocap?  I am in Canada and may buy the capacitor direct from that company or distributor.  Thanks!

There is something I don't feel comfortable about this cap.

First, I search the Internet, there is no website related with "ForesT Audio Cap".

Second, if you happen to live in Canada, you will know that Canadians do NOT use the word "Aluminium". Instead, they follow the Americans and spell the metal as "Aluminum" without the additional "i".

Maybe this is another "Italian" design product like "Goldlion" in Hong Kong.

I am asking the supplier to provide more information about the cap, they are really from Canada but the company is small and new so there may not be a lot of information can be found.

You are right that the "real" Canadians do not spell it as "aluminium".  However, as you know that Canada is a multicultural country, a lot Canadians come from European countries.  So, the possibility that the owner or the designer of the "Forest Cap" comes from England should not be ruled out.  As a matter of fact, both "aluminum" and "aluminium" appear side by side in the Canadian English Dictionary.

I did search the "Forest Audiocap" through internet before I posted my request for the name and address of that company.  I found nothing related.  Anyhow, as the price is good as well as it can help to improve the sound quality, we should be happy to accept it.

Mr Admin is on the right track in asking for more informations.
